Romance is a state of mind: It’s all about an attitude of caring and thoughtfulness, giving your partner your attention – making them feel special and loved.

Some things are synonymous with romance, flowers, champagne, candlelit dinners but often it is the unexpected gesture, the one that catches us by surprise, that is the most charming and endearing.

Fill your partner’s car with balloons while they are at work or asleep. Make sure to include a balloon that says "I Love You."

Tell your sweetheart to get dressed up for a fancy date, and go pick them up, don’t tell them where you're going. Say that you have forgotten something at home and have them come inside and then lead them to a candlelit dinner.

When your loved one is taking a bath or shower and the mirror fogs up, write a message like "I Love You" on the mirror for them to find when they're done!

Record "You have mail" in your voice and sneak it onto their computer and set it up for the new mail sound.

Leave your lover a provocative message on their answering machine.

Learn to say some romantic phrases in a foreign language and in sign language, then you can say "I love you" in any situation.

Get home early. Leave a trail of rose petals from the front door to the bathroom…turn off the lights and use candles to light the way. Have a hot bath running with bubble bath or sensual oils. Slowly wash your partner. They will love it!
